Spend an enjoyable evening at the Playmill Theatre. The comedies, melodramas and musicals will entertain the whole family. The theatre, at 29 Madison in West Yellowstone, is open Monday through Saturday, May through September

The World Snowmobile Expo is a snowmobiler's delight. The late-March event includes exhibits by equipment vendors, power pulls and drag racing.  Another popular snow sport in West Yellowstone is cross-country skiing. The backcountry and telemark skiing is considered tops in the nation. The U.S. Nordic and Biathlon teams train in the area.

Wintertime visitors can enjoy the sights in Yellowstone National Park via a snowcoach tour. Guided tours from a ten-passenger heated snow vehicle journey to Old Faithful and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The sights, dressed in blazing winter white and brilliant blue colors, are spectacular. 

The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center is an AZA accredited, not-for-profit wildlife park and educational center. See LIVE grizzlies and wolves and get a fascinating glimpse into their worlds! Early morning and evening visitors may witness the active wolf pack howling. Watch the bears forage for food, play in their ponds and with each other. Activities include: Keeper Kid's (kids help hide food for the bears), Wolf Enrichment, a Karelian Bear Dog, live Bird-of-Prey demonstrations, Safety in Bear Country Programs, Yellowstone Park Ranger Presentations, films and staff presentations. Explore Bears: Imagination & Reality, an intriguing interactive exhibit. Open 365 days a year. GWDC bears do not hibernate! 8am to dusk. Admission is good for two consecutive days.

The Yellowstone IMAX Theatre is also at Grizzly Park. The excellent Academy Award-caliber presentation of "Yellowstone" tells the whole story behind America's first national park. Learn the history, and preview the wildlife, geothermal activity and scenic grandeur awaiting you on your visit, or find out what you missed. The 70mm movie filmed in IMAX format is shown on a six-story-high screen with stereo surround-sound. A food court and coffee bar service the area. 

Well worth a stop for inquisitive minds is the Museum of the Yellowstone. The museum is housed in the historic Union Pacific Depot, the perfect place to reveal the contribution of railroads to the development of Yellowstone National Park. Excellent exhibits on the U.S. Cavalry, trappers, cowboys and Native Americans, tell the history and the glory. Displays and videos about the region's largest earthquake in 1959 and the devastating 1988 fires tell the darker story. The museum, 124 Yellowstone Ave., West Yellowstone, MT 59758, is open Memorial Day to Labor Day.
