Madison Arm Loop
The Madison Arm Trail is about a twenty
mile loop that skirts
the South Fork of the Madison and the Madison Arm of Hebgen Lake. This
tour is similar to the Horse Butte tour only easier and may be considered
to be the most relaxing ride of all the trails in the Yellowstone area.
The trail is relatively flat and well groomed. Riders are sometimes
treaty to some
of the wildlife that travel in
and out of the park and are
advised to maintain the speed limit.
This ride is a good choice if you just
want to spend a relaxing day riding on a good trail and be back in West
Yellowstone by early afternoon. It's also a good choice if you are a
novice rider, to ride this trail on your first day out before you try
the more popular Lionhead or Two Top trails.
As with all the trials in the area, be
sure to visit our Trail Grooming schedule before you head out and carry
the essential clothing and food according to your destination.
